I am an independent designer currently located here in Austin, TX. When I’m not working on cycling art kits, infographics + printed materials for this amazing foundation, I get to work (play!) with real estate developers, start-ups, non-profits and small businesses around the world. HED Cycling was founded on the idea of providing the fastest wheel possible. When your goal is going fast, aerodynamics is king. This is where Steve begins the process but we are well aware that aero is not everything so we ensure that we cover every aspect of making fast wheels. Manipulating tires for rolling resistance, building the most efficient hub, ensuring maximum drivetrain efficiency, and dialing lateral stiffness.
For these reasons we are proud of every wheel we build but never rest on what we have done. We are never finished taking our wheels into the next paradigm of design engineering. Whether you are a recreational cyclist or standing on the top podium step of the Tour de France, our mission is to make your ride even better the next time.
Holland Racing is an event promotions company started in 2008 by husband and wife Andrew and Holly Willis. Holland Racing is based in Austin, Texas and their focus is bicycle racing events in Texas. A former national champion, having raced in Europe, South America, Asia, and all over the United States at an elite level, Andrew believed that there was more potential to develop athletes, events, sponsorship opportunities, and a sense of community amongst cyclists in Austin and across Texas. In order to achieve this end, the belief was that there had to be a foundation of sustainable events for sponsor and participant relationships to foster and grow.
Holland’s approach is centered around organizing manageable events with attention to detail and creating experiences and aesthetics akin to what Andrew experienced while racing. In 2008 Holland Racing organized four events that were well received by both sponsors and participants and the business exploded, with Holland Racing organizing 44 events the following season. Since then, Holland has organized approximately 45-50 events a year including the popular Driveway Series which was recognized in 2009 by Competitor Magazine as the Best Cycling Event in Texas. Holland’s events are family friendly and free for spectators.
I Luv Video was founded in 1984 by El Paso transplants John Dorgan and Conrad Bejarano. We are proud to be the largest (and perhaps oldest) video store in the state of Texas, with 60,000 titles at our Guadalupe Street store and 80,000 titles at our Airport Boulevard location. We pride ourselves on our huge selection, ranging from this week’s hottest new releases to weirdo obscure films you never thought you’d be able to find (and sometimes wish you hadn’t).
